This modular prefabricated mobile laboratory consists of two or several distinct rooms, one for healthcare personnel and one for the patient, which are accessed independently. Both zones are connected through a security window with a communication device. Health workers, from their area and through the window, take a sample of the patient. Both rooms incorporate a separate air conditioning system and the patient's area is also equipped with a continuously functioning air extraction system, so that the air is expelled outside from the top. The healthcare staff room is delivered as standard with a hand wash battery before and after each test (ready for connection to the water and drain network), as well as a table, individual seats, first aid kit and bottle wash, although additional accessories may be added as may be needed.
Regarding its construction characteristics, the module complies with the National Building Regulations, which ensures that it has been designed considering wind, snow and seismic loads as if it were a building, in addition to the corresponding quality controls, durability, anti-corrosion protection, etc. Topshaw's design and architecture department has put all its team to work to provide companies and health institutions with a solution that protects healthcare personnel from exposure to this virus, at a key time for all of us.
